Grace Covenant Community Church is committed to certain core values that we believe are grounded in Scripture and should mark the disciplemaking New Testament church. Our core values are identified and described as follows:

Worship ─ If the chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever, then the chief activity of man is worship. There is no single human action that glorifies God more than worship; and there is no greater source of joy and satisfaction than to feel God’s presence in our worship of Him. Our definition of a disciple states that the worship of God is the disciple’s passion. As such, G3C will always make worship, especially corporate worship central to all that we are and do.  Worship that is in spirit and in truth will be the sure and steadfast anchor of our church. And out of our worship will spring forth great missionary endeavors by our church and its people.

Missions — We see our duty to fulfill the Great Commission as a call to be involved in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the end of the earth. In other words we are called to be Christ’s witnesses in Brea, Orange County, the State of California, the United States, and to the rest of the world. Furthermore, we pledge to be a church that sees mission opportunities in the despair of the needy, the oppression of the weak, the suffering of the sick, and the hopelessness of those who are lost. Missions education as well as opportunities for personal involvement will be provided as part of our desire to be a disciplemaking church.

Theology — Worship in truth cannot take place without a proper knowledge of God and a right understanding of His requirements of us. The Bible is the written revelation of God and as such is our guidebook to knowing Him and our manual for Christian living. G3C is committed to rich, deep, and holistic communication of God’s Word. We will teach through expository preaching, plumb the depths of Scripture in our Bible studies, and use the truth of God’s Word as the foundation in our call for personal holiness. God’s Word will be the source of our teaching, preaching, and all other spiritual activities. Its primacy will be evident to all who attend our church─ members and visitors.

Prayer — G3C must be a people of prayer─ marked by earnest, fervent outpouring unto God as the source of all we need. We must always be seeking God’s will for our church and that still small voice that guides us as individuals. Corporate as well as private prayer should mark us as a people, and must be a core value we promote and practice.

Discipleship ─ A disciple is a follower of Christ, and discipleship is simply Christian progress. It begins at the new birth and never stops. We want to be known as a church that is made up of faithful and genuine followers of Christ. Our hope is that we will always have the reputation of being a church of Spirit-filled worshippers of God, and a congregation of those who sacrificially live out our faith.

Service — Christian service is not a tedious duty but a joyful privilege. As a church, G3C is committed to instilling the core value of service in the character of our people. We will do this by providing opportunities to serve both in the local church and outside of it. We want to be known in our community as a church that can be counted on to sacrificially give of themselves in service to others.

Excellence The church should have standards of excellence that far outshine those of other organizations. If we are to glorify God in everything that we do, then we should strive to do everything with excellence. True excellence is the product of believers who have apprehended the glory of God and beauty of Christ in such a way as to compel us to do and be the best in all our endeavors.
